Spring Performance

With over 250 spectators, last weekend was our Annual Spring Performance. The performance began with our Toddler Choir of fifty children ranging from ages 2-5. The children, all from different classes, sang together eight musical selections. Their enthusiasm and bright smiles lit up the stage.

Following, everyone enjoyed watching Cappuccetto Rosso. In our version, Cappuccetto Rosso meets Cenerentola and Biancaneve in the woods. They introduce themselves and warn her to watch out for Il Lupo Cattivo
del bosco.  Next, she comes across a family of hungry Orsi. They all sing together “Ho Fame” and Cappuccetto Rosso gives them an apple from her basket. As she continues on her way to her nonna’s house, the audience can see Il Lupo Cattivo following and watching Cappuccetto Rosso . As Cappuccetto Rosso comes across the three little pigs, they merrily sing and dance to “Siam Tre Piccoli Porcellini” as well as warn her about the Lupo Cattivo lurking around the woods.  When Cappuccetto Rosso finally gets to her nonna’s house, she is surprised to find Il Lupo there instead of her nonna.  Luckily all of her friends from the woods come to her side and rescue Cappuccetto Rosso from the dangerous wolf.

All of the performers last Saturday demonstrated the hard work they have been putting in their classes all year long. Their appreciation for the Italian language was apparent as was the love and support from their families.
The audience chanted,“Bravo Bambini!” and clapped enthusiastically.
